About The Position

Cook Position Available at Empro Staffing Empro Staffing is currently seeking a dependable and skilled Cook to join our healthcare team. Our Cook will play a crucial role in preparing and serving meals that meet dietary standards and promote the health and satisfaction of our clients. Compensation: $25/hr. Work Schedule: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM including every other Saturday & Sunday

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous cooking experience, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting
Basic knowledge of food handling and sanitation procedures
Ability to follow recipes accurately and adhere to dietary restrictions
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift kitchen equipment as needed
Passion for preparing nutritious and appealing meals
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Prior cooking experience, especially in healthcare or institutional kitchens
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation
Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Physical capability to handle kitchen demands

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and nutritional guidelines.
Ensure proper portion sizes based on dietary requirements.
Maintain cleanliness and safety standards in the kitchen and food preparation areas.
Manage inventory of food supplies and notify supervisors of shortages.
Collaborate with dietary aides and nursing staff to meet patient nutritional needs.
Comply with all food safety and sanitation regulations.
