REPORTS TO: SUPERVISES: Chef Restaurant Assistant Chef Banquets Assistant ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Understands and responds to internal guests needs. Communicates in a friendly, respectful and understandable manner. Politely gives consistent, timely and accurate information and finds answer when unsure. Uses outlined service behaviors when encountering guests. Meets expected service delivery times as defined by department’s service standards or as required by receiver of service or goods. Is a team player, cooperates with employees within the department as well as other departments. Speaks positively about the company, co-workers and guests. Responsible for the fast and clean servicing of all menu items to the restaurant service persons and for seeing that each order that is sent out is uniform. Controls food production to include: proper cooking methods; proper cooking times and temperatures; insures sanitation, handling and storage of prepared foods and leftovers. Prepares for a rush period of work without getting behind. Performs related duties as requested or required. EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Open/Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and operation and maintenance of kitchen equipment. Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques. Six‑Months experience as a cook's helper preferred. Must be familiar with all phases and operations of the kitchen.
