About The Position
Every employee is a Shepherd. Above all else, Shepherds are stewards of the people and resources entrusted to them. Our supreme example of a Shepherd is "The Good Shepherd", Jesus Christ. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year's cooking experience in a healthcare or industrial setting. Will be flexible, compassionate and creative. Will have a current food handlers’ certification and the ability to pass a criminal history check. We will train the right person

Responsibilities
- Prepare meals in accordance with planned menus
- Prepare and serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance
- Serve food in accordance with established portion control procedures
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus
- Prepare and serve bedtime snacks
- Be sure that appropriate equipment and utensils are provided with resident’s meal tray
- Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents who refuse foods served
- Dispose of food and waste in accordance with established policies
