About The Position

We are looking for a qualified candidate with 1-5 years experience in a commercial kitchen Must be hard working and organized, with great time management skills. Applicant must be able to work both unsupervised and with a team, and have excellent interpersonal skills. Little Lukes staff provide center-based childcare services and before and after school programs. To ensure that young children learn social and pre-academic skills necessary for success in school, Little Lukes hires credentialed educators that develop and utilize programs and curriculums for children from three to five years of age. Employment opportunities may include Teacher, TA, 1:1 Aide for preschool child with special needs, morning opener, afternoon closer, receptionist and cleaner. In addition, each center employs a team of special education teachers, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, physical therapists and counselors to provide specialized preschool programs for children with special needs.

Requirements

  • 1-5 years experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Must be hard working and organized, with great time management skills.
  • Applicant must be able to work both unsupervised and with a team, and have excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Food prep/kitchen experience required
  • Clean driving record & personal vehicle required to transport groceries; mileage compensation provided.
  • Applicant must be willing to submit to a background check

Nice To Haves

  • CACFP familiarity preferred

Responsibilities

  • Preparing food in a timely manner to comply with CACFP meal guidelines and portion sizes.
  • Documentation for CACFP through Food Production Log
  • Kitchen maintenance and cleaning
  • Maintain inventory of food and supplies
  • Develop shopping list/purchase order based on center menus/center par system and develop a system to gather items from local shopping center needed for meals within work schedule
  • Following Food Safety Requirements (food prep and storage)
