About The Position

WonderWorks is an indoor amusement park that combines education and entertainment with more than 100 hands-on exhibits. WonderWorks Myrtle Beach is seeking Cooks to prepare quality menu items for guests, ensuring a wonderful dining experience. Cooks will be responsible for making food to satisfy a high volume of guest orders and maintaining all food safety standards in the work area.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• Ability to efficiently multitask and work independently
• Ability to read and understand recipes
• Proficient knife skills
• Experience working in the culinary field
• Ability to stand and walk throughout the work area for prolonged periods
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work any shift including nights, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience working in a high-volume kitchen preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares and makes all food items by following the recipe and meeting required guidelines and food safety standards
• Checks all equipment daily to make sure it is operational and clean
• Date and label all ingredients and food products
• Stock food and beverage orders upon arrival and rotate food items by following FIFO methods
• Clean all food prep areas, utensils, and kitchen equipment continually as used
• Perform other duties as assigned
