The Line Cook is responsible for preparation and production of a la-carte lunch and preparation for the dinner shift. The Line cook will adhere to the schedule given to him/her and may include nights, weekends and holidays. The Line Cook will be called upon to perform all duties in the kitchen such as Prep work, Cleaning, Grill, Sauté, Fry, etc. Responsible for maintaining the highest quality of food standards and keeping work area clean always.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience in a commercial kitchen environment/ on-the-job training by a Sous Chef / 1-2 years in an approved Culinary Arts School preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Station setup and execution of a la carte lunch and dinner service for residents and their guests.
  • Responsible for shift breakdown and cleanup of Kitchen and equipment.
  • Performs prep according to the Daily Prep Sheet and Executive Chef and Sous Chef request for daily service.
  • Responsible for cleaning and preparation of kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and recipes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
