About The Position

Get away to Army Lake Camp where we serve a variety of groups (churches, youth groups, public/private schools, and more!) Our mission is to inspire Christ-centered love and commitment while sharing God's word by example and instruction through recreational and educational opportunities. Manage the meal program in the absence of the Food Services Supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Must have completed the Restaurant Servsafe Certification program or will complete within six (6) months of hire
  • Must have valid driver’s license and pass MVR requirements for Salvation Army insurance.
  • One year food service experience
  • Ability to relate to individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds
  • Ability to be a self-starter; can work independently

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, and serve meals in conjunction with Food Services Supervisor
  • Maintain a sanitary work environment
  • Monitor donations and other food and non-food inventory
  • Help create and maintain a comfortable and respectful environment for guest
  • Clean and properly arrange the freezer, cooler, and pantry on a weekly basis
  • Under the direction of the Food Services Manager, report meal counts for the Summer Food Service Program.
  • Provide seasonal support as requested
  • Be available to work nights and weekends
  • Other duties as assigned by the Corps Officers
