About The Position

We’re looking for an experienced, dependable Cook to join our healthcare dining team! If you take pride in creating fresh, flavorful meals and enjoy bringing comfort to patients and staff through great food, we’d love to meet you. About the Role As a Cook, you’ll prepare daily meals for patients, employees, and guests — helping create a warm, welcoming dining experience. You’ll also support the Food Services Director and step in as a leader when needed to keep things running smoothly.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in commercial or institutional cooking
  • Strong understanding of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen organization
  • Ability to read menus, follow recipes, and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • A passion for teamwork, hospitality, and consistency
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen
  • Must be ready for immediate hire upon clearance

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals following established menus, recipes, and diet orders
  • Plan prep and cooking schedules to ensure meals are ready on time
  • Cook meats, vegetables, soups, and sauces to perfection — maintaining flavor, texture, and nutritional quality
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment (mixers, slicers, ovens, etc.)
  • Ensure food is cooked and served at proper temperatures
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Assist with food and supply ordering as needed
  • Support and collaborate with the dietary team to deliver outstanding service
