About The Position

The Cook is responsible for all aspects of hot and cold food preparation, ensuring quality, consistency, and safety standards are met. This role requires a skilled multitasker who can maintain a clean and organized workstation while adhering to food safety codes. Success in this position requires passion, energy, and determination to deliver excellent service and support the growth and reputation of the brand.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Food Handler Certification required.
  • At least 2–3 years of high-volume cooking experience preferred.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and speak English.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical operations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare a wide variety of food items, to standard, in a high-volume, fast-paced operation.
  • Knowledge of departmental, property, and company policies and standards.
  • Availability to work a schedule that may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Intermediate knife skills and familiarity with kitchen equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion, energy, and determination to provide excellent service.

Responsibilities

  • Possess intermediate knife skills, including dicing, chopping, and slicing using various knives and tools.
  • Maintain current and accurate knowledge of food items, including preparation techniques, seasonings, and ingredients.
  • Employ proper cooking methods and cook foods to specifications.
  • Handle, store, and rotate food properly in accordance with established health and safety standards.
  • Clean and sanitize counters, sinks, floors, and other work areas to maintain a safe and hygienic workstation.
  • Maintain par levels of operating supplies and food products for each workstation, obtaining replacements from warehouse inventory per department procedures.
  • Operate and maintain all kitchen equipment and utensils according to guidelines and safety procedures.
  • Provide personalized service to guests, using names when possible, and ensure food is delivered accurately and promptly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor to support kitchen operations.
