Your Role: Under close supervision of the Nutrition Services Supervisors and according to defined procedures and established schedules, the COOK performs a variety of duties normally executed in serving customers, preparing food, transporting and emptying trash receptacles, cleaning the kitchen, server-storing stock, and checking and recording hot and cold temperatures and washing dishes. This is a per-diem position. Summary: The Cook role is responsible for preparation of foods for patients, guests, residents, and employees. Assures the facility's cleanliness, sanitation, and maintenance of equipment and supplies.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • License/Certifications: Food safety certification required (e.g., ServSafe) and must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Experience: One year of relevant food production experience required.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of specialized culinary training or institutional/retail cooking experience preferred.
