About The Position

Symphony Park, an upscale Independent Living Resort, is looking for a skilled and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. This position requires a dedicated individual who can contribute to the high standards of food preparation and presentation in our resort's diverse dining establishments. The ideal candidate will have a flair for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to providing exceptional meals for our residents and guests.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook, ideally in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
  • Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the menu, ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met.
  • Assist in the planning and development of menu items and recipes.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner, to temperature requirements, and to guest specifications.
  • Ensure dietary requirements, and food allergy restrictions are strictly adhered to. Ensuring safety for all residents and guests
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment to ensure optimal working efficiency.
  • Manage food inventory and storage, minimizing waste.
  • Encourages teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
  • Attends training courses at community and maintains up to date monthly, quarterly, and annual training.
  • Other duties as assigned, and which relate to the success of the community and the care, comfort, and happiness of our residents.
