About The Position
Meridell is looking for a full-time Cook to work with our experienced dietary team to provide daily meals for our patients. Must be service excellence oriented and ready to become part of a great team. This position is primarily full-time with 10 hour shifts. Weekends may be required to help provide coverage. Meridell Achievement Center is a nationally recognized 134-bed private residential treatment facility that specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents who have emotional, behavioral and neurobehavioral problems. Meridell has been providing exceptional care for our patients for over 55 years.
Requirements
- Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Experience may be substituted for education requirement.
- Experience: Prefer previous experience working in a dietary department.
- License/Certification: Health Card required, Meridell is willing to pay for certification.
- Skills: Ability to read, write, follow and give oral instructions.
- Essential Physical Requirements: Physical demand requires frequent lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 30 lbs, considerable walking, standing, pushing and pulling of equipment. Stooping, kneeling and reaching is required.
