The Patient Foods cook prepares patient food on demand according to the patient's wishes but within the limits of their diet order. Following recipes and instructions with a high degree of accuracy is essential as any variation may impact the patient's health. Knowledge of food allergies is required. The Cook works as a team with the Room Service Hostess and Runner to ensure that the patient's meal experience is a positive one. The ability to work with minimal supervision as well as part of a team is essential.
