About The Position

We are looking for a cook to replace ours who is retiring. The cook will need to heat up meals for breakfast and lunch for preschool children. The cook will also need to list food orders twice a week so the childcare director can order them. Most of the food comes premade it just needs to me heated up. A SERV safe certificate is required and training will be provided upon hire.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age
• Complete background check
• Have and Maintain SERV safe certification
• Complete physical
• Be able to lift 40 pounds

Responsibilities

• List food orders
• Prepare weekly menu
• Prepare breakfast and lunch at appropriate temperature
• Work with staff for collect numbers of children before meals
• prepare appropriate amounts of food
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen
• Make sure all thermometers are working
• Check food for expiration dates
• Wash and sanitize all dishes
• Remove trash
• Turn in receipts and invoices to childcare director
