Position Summary The Cook plays an essential role in delivering quality food experiences to guest in a high-energy, fast-paced stadium environment. This position is responsible for preparing menu items to specification, maintaining food safety standards, and contributing to the overall guest experience on game days and during special events. The ideal candidate thrives under pressure, takes pride in their craft, and understands the importance of speed and consistency in high-volume food service. This role pays an hourly rate of $19.00-$24.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matching. Also, OVG provides part-time, seasonal, and internship employees with one hour of accrued paid leave per 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per year. This position will remain open until April 17, 2026. About the Venue Canvas Stadium and Moby Arena are premier athletic venues at Colorado State University, hosting Division I football, basketball, and world-class entertainment events. Our culinary team delivers exceptional game-day experiences to thousands of fans, from concessions to premium suites. We're seeking Part-Time Cooks to join our team for the 2026 sports season.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with team members, management, and guest.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
  • Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and event days.
  • Team-oriented attitude with a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and package food items to order or hold at proper temperatures for service.
  • Receive and execute food orders communicated by front-of-house staff.
  • Maintain quality and production standards across all menu items, ensuring freshness and consistency.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines and proper serving temperatures for all products.
  • Keep workstations clean, stocked, and organized throughout service.
  • Operate high-volume cooking equipment including grills, fryers, and ovens.
  • Ensure proper food storage, equipment cleanliness, and end-of shift sanitation including sweeping and mopping.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain reliable attendance in accordance with company expectations.
