Requirements

  • 1-2 years previous experience in a professional Kitchen environment
  • Active Food handler’s certification or the ability to get it
  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night shifts
  • Requires strong organizational skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 20 pounds
  • At least 21 years of age

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests in the restaurant and inquire about their meal
  • Check in with Sous Chef Daily for objectives
  • Ensures assigned workstation has proper level of par stocks and supplies according to daily menus and banquets
  • Set up a la carte stations required for breakfast, lunch, or dinner
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in accordance with standard recipes and presentations
  • Performs banquet and kitchen line functions as directed by the Executive or Sous Chef
  • Work closely with Sales and Planning teams
  • Report maintenance/housekeeping needs and ensure timely resolution
  • Follow up on requests for accuracy
  • Maintain effective communication with all operating departments
  • Be prepared to assist team members when needed
  • Communicate any updates or changes
  • Keep up to date with the latest cooking trends
  • Recommend changes and additions to better operations and food offerings
