Part-Time Cook – Every Other Weekend The Shores of Lake Phalen – Maplewood, MN Do you love cooking up delicious meals that make people smile? The Shores of Lake Phalen is looking for a Part-Time Cook to join our friendly team! In this role, you’ll help create warm, home-style meals that bring joy and comfort to our residents every other weekend. Requirements

  • Dependable, upbeat, and ready to bring both skill and heart to our kitchen.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred (must be at least 16).
  • Must be 18+ to use power-driven kitchen equipment.
  • Prior cooking experience in healthcare, hospitality, or culinary arts preferred.
  • A team player with a friendly, outgoing attitude and passion for good food!

Nice To Haves

  • ServSafe, CPR, or First Aid certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare tasty, well-presented meals that brighten our residents’ day.
  • Follow safe food-handling and sanitation practices (because safety matters!).
  • Assist with serving meals and clearing tables.
  • Keep the kitchen sparkling clean, including utensils, dishes, and work areas.
  • Report concerns, suggestions, or menu ideas to the team.
  • Follow infection control and fire safety procedures to ensure a safe dining environment.
