About The Position

PREP COOK: Responsibilities may include: Preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, and slicing fruits, vegetables, meats, and other ingredients. Measuring and assembling ingredients for recipes. Preparing simple dishes like salads, appetizers, and sauces. Ensuring proper food storage and compliance with sanitation guidelines. Assisting with inventory management. Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen. Skills: Proficiency in knife skills and food preparation techniques. Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Knowledge of basic cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and communication skills. Examples of Tasks: Chop vegetables for salads. Prepare sauces by reducing ingredients. Parboil vegetables for later use. Wash and sanitize dishes and equipment. LINE COOK: Responsibilities may include: Preparing and cooking menu items on the hot line, including grilling, frying, and sautéing. Following recipes and standard portion sizes. Ensuring food is cooked to the correct temperature and quality. Maintaining a clean and sanitary workstation. Restocking ingredients and supplies. Collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. Skills: Proficiency in various cooking techniques and equipment. Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain focus in a busy kitchen. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations. Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Teamwork and communication skills. Examples of Tasks: Cook grilled meats and vegetables to order. Prepare sautéed dishes and stir-fries. Fry food items like chicken nuggets or fries. Plate and garnish dishes for service. Must have professional appearance, ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
