About The Position

GateWay at River City is seeking a Cook to join our Culinary Team. GateWay at River City Cooks prepare exceptional meals to ensure a high-quality dining experience for our residents. We are looking for a cook that is passionate in the art of cooking and making a difference daily in the lives of our residents and coworkers. GateWay at River City is an Assisted Living Community dedicated to providing the best care, compassion, and customer service in our communities through all roles.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED Required
• Basic Knowledge of Food Safety
• Exceptional Customer Service Skills

Nice To Haves

• Previous Food Service Experience (preferred)
• ServeSafe Certification (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Prepares, seasons, cooks and serves all items as designated on set menu for assigned meal; ensure appropriate portioned servings according to portion control standards and recipes
• Monitors and records temperatures of hot and cold foods through food preparation
• Checks and inspects food products and supplies upon delivery
• Cleans and maintains equipment and work areas in compliance with safe food handling standards
• Provides exceptional customer service
