About The Position

The Tempo New York Times Square is looking for a Temporary Restaurant Cook to join our team. Our 661-room stylish hotel is in Times Square, steps from restaurants, shops and Broadway theaters. Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and Grand Central Station are within one mile. Our Outdoor Terrace overlooks the heart of the city. Our restaurant also offers iconic NYC views.

Requirements

• 2 or more years' experience as a cook.
• Knowledge of food safety rules.
• Full availability including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards, at all times.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
• Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
• Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed.
