About The Position

The Cook is responsible for ensuring our food is prepared to the exact specifications stated and quality expected for safe serving, complying with all applicable sanitation, health, and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to set up, preparation of food, cooking, clean up, equipment monitoring, sanitation, and ensuring appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste, and fraud. Make smoothies and juices. Prep produce for juicing and make portion bags for smoothies. Manage food prep areas: prepare food/drinks in a professional manner. Prepare food items to recipe specifications in accordance with cross-contamination avoidance measures. Assists operation managers as requested in areas such as plate presentation. Maintain complete and accurate menu knowledge. And all other duties as assigned. Here at Fresquez, we are customer-focused company. Requirements

  • A minimum of one year cooking experience required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of relevant food safety and sanitation laws, principles, procedures, and practices.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to multi-task and quickly prioritize tasks.
  • Food safety driven and food service experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and prepare food according to restaurant recipes and specifications.
  • Cook food to the exact specifications stated and quality expected for safe serving.
  • Maintain sanitation, health and safety standards in all work areas.
  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, and slicers.
  • Prepare and serve beverages.
  • Read food order slips and/or screens or receive verbal instructions to cook to specifications.
  • Verify prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
  • Clean, stock and restock workstations, display cases, etc.
  • Order and take delivery of product as needed.
