About The Position

Fairview is looking for a Cook to join the Ridges Campus in Burnsville, MN! This position offers 56 hours per a 2-week pay period and is benefit eligible! Pay starts at $20.01 per hr or more DPE. This position entails prepping food items as assigned using recipes to meet established standards of high quality using attention to detail. This position will also put away food orders, inventory, and some cleaning tasks. In this position you will be able to acquire experience and knowledge in a fast paced environment where customer service and food service skills are appreciated. Cook staff directly impacts the patient, guest, and staff experience by preparing and serving the food that sustains everyone through their healing or their work in a positive way. This is an outstanding opportunity to engage directly with patients and/or staff, and an opportunity to work together on a team of engaged employees.

Requirements

• Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing, using the English language
• Ability to handle all foods under all conditions
• Basic math skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Nice To Haves

• High School Diploma/G.E.D
• Certified or willing to become certified for food safety

Responsibilities

• Prepares items as they are ordered in a timely manner
• Prepares food products to meet temperature and quality standards
• Follows recipes to assure products are consistent in quality and nutritional values
• Handle and prepare food in a safe manner following HAACP operating procedures
• Takes and documents temperatures of food items and makes appropriate adjustments to achieve standards
• Sanitizes equipment and work area per assigned schedules and designed procedure
• Puts away food orders utilizing FIFO
• Completes cleaning and other tasks to prepare for food audits
