About The Position

At The Learning Experience, we make early education joyful, engaging and fun so children are happy to learn, play and grow. Our curriculum focuses on the six ages and stages of early childhood development and engages children in hands-on learning activities that encourage them to explore and solve problems at their own rate of development. This forms a foundation for kids to Learn, Play and Grow under the care of our nurturing teachers and staff. At TLE, we've created a full cast of characters that become our little learners' educators, partners and friends through their preschool education journey. Each character has a unique personality and area of interest and brings learning to life by allowing children to explore the world through fun and imagination.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Pass a background clearance
• Be able to cook for a large group of people
• Read and follow standardized recipes
• Experience in using cutting tools, cookware and bakeware
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Ability to work in a team
• Good communication skills
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
• Clean and organized
• Reliable
• Punctual
• Dependable
• Able to lift and carry 10lbs-20lbs
• Food handlers permit

Responsibilities

• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Prepare ingredients to use in cooking
• Cook food in insta pots
• Check food while cooking to stir or turn
• Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
• Check quality of ingredients
• Monitor stock and place orders when there are shortages
