About The Position

This position is responsible for promoting and providing excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests. The role involves preparing high quality, fresh hot and cold food items using standardized recipes and methods for preparation. The individual must maintain the ability and willingness to prepare all or nearly all food items sold by the enterprise according to recipe, and easily adapt to changes in menu preparation and production methods. Responsibilities also include replenishing prep line food items as necessary to ensure proper presentation and availability for guests, practicing proper personal sanitary procedures, and performing other special projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Professional training through a culinary education or experience in a fast-paced high volume restaurant/catering facility.
  • Ability to operate a broad range of kitchen equipment including stoves, broilers, deep fryers, and other food preparation equipment.
  • Must acquire and maintain a valid Gila River Environmental Health Food Handlers Card, Alcohol Awareness Certification, Blood-Borne Pathogens (BBP) and other required compliance trainings.
  • Ability to perform the GILA WAY: Greet, Interact positively, Listen actively, Appreciate our guest.
  • Excellent guest service skills and strong telephone etiquette.
  • Self-starter with the ability to follow-up and complete tasks in a timely manner with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with guests and team members.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • In-depth knowledge and thorough understanding of Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to responsibilities.
