About The Position

This position is responsible for preparation of food for services at Western Maryland Hospital Center and State Satellite Facility plus Day Programs when necessary. The main purpose of the job is to prepare attractive, good tasting food by a variety of methods for both regular and modified diets of hospitalized residents/patients. This position also cleans and sanitizes work areas, equipment and dinnerware following meal service.

Requirements

  • Three years of experience in food preparation at a public or governmental establishment, such as a restaurant, hospital or comparable institution involving the cooking of meats and vegetables and the preparation of salads and beverages.
  • Graduation from an accredited vocational/technical high school with a major in food service or a related field may be substituted for up to two years of the required experience.
