About The Position

The Cook II actively handles the preparation of braised food, grilling, broiling, blanching, cooking, and sauté items. Candidate should have professional knowledge of cooking ingredients and procedures, and should be able to work single-station in the kitchen. Additional responsibilities include preparing daily specials, checking the quality of finished food products, ensuring efficient preparation methods and procedures on a daily basis, and receiving products from the storeroom. Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience with working in all kitchens, such as the cold kitchen, restaurants, banquets, and the butcher area.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Requires moderate supervision and training
  • Texas Food Handlers Certification
  • Flexibility to work any days of the week, including weekends and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Hotel cooking experience and/or culinary degree preferred
