About The Position

The beautiful Embassy Suites by Hilton Washington DC Convention Center is looking for a full-time Cook I to join their culinary team ! This 384-suite property is set in the Penn Quarter neighborhood of D.C., just two blocks from the Washington Convention Center and a mile from the National Mall. Ideal candidates for this position possess a minimum of two years cooking experience, with training on all stations (grill/sauté/fryer) as well as prep/knife skills. It would be considered an asset for the position to have a recent food safety training and/or previous hotel culinary experience! Shift Pattern\: candidates should be available to work AM and PM shifts as needed, weekdays/weekends/holidays as needed without restrictions Pay Rate: $24.95 – $29.63 per hour, final offer based on experience Medical Insurance Coverage available – for you and your family! Responsibilities

Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times
Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner
Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products
Stock and maintain designated food station(s)
Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen
Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations
Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
