About The Position

Overview Hours will vary between 5AM-8PM, every other weekend + rotating holidays. The Cook plays a key role in preparing fresh, high-quality meals, including entrées, vegetables, soups, cereals, sauces, and fried items. Responsibilities also include proper food handling and storage, maintaining a clean and sanitary workspace, and ensuring all food safety guidelines are followed. Requirements

  • Two years cooking or food service experience and the ability to perform at the cook’s level within six months in this position.
  • Serve Safe Certification is within 6 months after hire .
  • Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook hot food items while supporting the kitchen team to ensure meals are served on time.
  • Follow recipes and safety guidelines to deliver tasty, attractive, and safe meals every shift.
  • Keep food and equipment handled safely, clean, and well-maintained.
  • Record temperatures, monitor quality, and report any concerns to your lead or supervisor.
  • Collaborate with teammates, provide feedback, and contribute to a positive, goal-driven kitchen culture.
  • Prioritize safety, compliance, and a smooth operation in a healthcare environment.
