About The Position

Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners is seeking a Cook I to join its culinary team. This role involves preparing high-quality dishes for the hotel's restaurant, room service, banquets, and employee cafeteria. The Cook I will ensure all food meets standards for taste, presentation, and safety within a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. The position requires a flexible schedule.

Requirements

• Food Handlers Certification (must comply with state requirements).
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a hotel or related field preferred
• CPR and first aid training preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook all food items according to standardized recipes and hotel standards.
• Complete necessary food and station preparations prior to service to ensure prompt and efficient operations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and storage areas, following “Clean As You Go” policy.
• Prepare and display buffet items and banquet dishes as specified by Banquet Event Orders.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with food storage and rotation according to hotel procedures.
• Comply with all food safety, sanitation, and certification requirements.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with guests and team members.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.
