The Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is partnering with the Rouxbe Cooking School to offer culinary associates engaging online training opportunities to help grow their careers. Through Rouxbe's self-paced online platform and culinary training curriculum, Marriott associates with all levels of culinary experience will have access to hundreds of well-designed and visually appealing lessons they can immediately apply to their jobs. The position involves preparing special meals, regulating cooking temperatures, managing food thawing, ensuring proper portioning and garnishing, maintaining food logs, and monitoring food quality and quantity. The Cook I will also communicate with the Chef and Food & Beverage service staff regarding menu items, prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards, and prepare cold foods. Additionally, the role includes assisting management with employee development, adhering to company safety and security policies, maintaining a professional appearance, protecting company assets, anticipating guest needs, and fostering positive working relationships with colleagues.
