About The Position

The Union Court, located in the heart of UNH Durham campus on the second floor of the Memorial Union Building, is seeking individuals to join our team. The Union Court provides made to order hot and cold sandwiches, salads, sushi, and soups along with burritos and hearty grain bowls. This is a fast-paced, high-volume position with a very desirable schedule. Base Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00AM – 3:30PM The primary focus of this role is food preparation, utilizing steamers, oven, fryolator, flat-top grill, etc.

Requirements

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to understand basic written and verbal instructions and to follow direction.
• The ability to cooperate and positively interact with guests and other staff.
• Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform assigned duties and responsibilities.
• Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.

Nice To Haves

• Prior food service experience, preferably with some basic food prep/cooking experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold menu items for the Union Court’s lunch meal period
• Maintains necessary product levels to achieve customer satisfaction
• Completes services records on a daily basis
• Monitors students associates
• Works closely with food service associates to ensure completion of daily tasks in time frame allotted
• Ensures that every customer receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging customers, maintaining outstanding standards, product knowledge, and all other components of customer service
• Assists in receiving/unloading food shipments
• Maintains a clean and safe work space
