About The Position

A Cook is responsible for the food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to the customer facing employees for service. The role requires maintaining a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times. The Cook must report for scheduled events on time, fulfill assigned opening and closing duties, and communicate effectively with supervisors and team members. Attention to detail and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment are crucial. The Cook may be reassigned to different locations based on the venue's needs and must be flexible with their schedule to meet service demands, including working days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years working in a fast-paced restaurant, caterer, or relevant food service area.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Clean and constantly aware of sanitation procedures.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to change quickly.
  • Punctual and dependable.
  • Ability to read and retain information (recipes, prep lists, menus, signage).
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Basic English speaking and reading skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to move quickly and act on assigned duties.
  • Maintain personal hygiene and a well-groomed appearance.
  • Ability to walk long distances and stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, lift (at least 30 pounds), carry items, push carts, walk at a fast pace, and bend down.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, execute, and deliver safely handled food to customer facing employees.

  • Report for scheduled events on time and to assigned areas promptly.
  • Fulfill assigned opening and closing duties.
  • Follow prep lists and timelines provided by the direct supervisor.
  • Carry out assigned tasks in a timely and safe manner using correct recipes.
  • Maintain walk-in coolers, reach-ins, dry storage, and all work areas.
  • Have extensive knowledge of all menus being offered, including specials.
  • Communicate with Supervisors, Attendants, Runners, Chefs, and Legends Management.
  • Work as a team with fellow associates and other service departments.
  • Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly kitchen setting.
  • Complete closing duties and checkout with manager/supervisor.
  • Know the layout of the kitchen and back of house area.
  • Be aware of other food and beverage outlets within the venue.
  • Be flexible and may be reassigned to different locations as needed.
