About The Position

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of appetizing, attractive, and nutritional meals for trainees.
• Help prepare food in accordance with planned menu.
• Assist in preparing food in large quantities following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Ensure proper storage of usable and non-usable leftovers.
• Maintain proper temperature for both hot and cold food items.
• Maintain acceptable standards of personal and area cleanliness when handling and preparing meals.
• Keep assigned work areas well organized and clean.
• Clean, mop, and empty waste when assigned or as needed.
• Handle food in a sanitary manner, including receipt, preparation, and storage.
• Maintain food temperature records.
• Maintain equipment logs.
• Prepare monthly inventories and record usage of leftovers.
• Maintain daily usage logs and document the number of meals served at each mealtime.
• Assure proper equipment use and maintenance.
• Use food service equipment including meat slicer, blender, food processor, mixer, ovens, grill, knives, and other items as necessary.
• Clean, sanitize, and ensure equipment is maintained in good working order, notifying the supervisor when repairs or replacements are needed.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
