About The Position

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for a full time COOK position at Ballad Health Bristol Regional Medical Center. The position involves preparing food in accordance with applicable federal, state, and corporate standards, guidelines, and regulations. The cook will ensure quality food service is provided at all times, preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules. The role requires a commitment to safety and cleanliness in the kitchen environment.

Requirements

• Prior food service and cooking experience is required.
• Ability to perform essential functions of the position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures.
