About The Position

As a Cook, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality culinary experiences by preparing and cooking a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards. Your work will directly impact customer satisfaction and the overall reputation of the dining establishment. You will collaborate closely with kitchen staff, including the Head Chef, to ensure timely and efficient food production while maintaining strict hygiene and safety standards. This role requires physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as climbing stairs and manual food preparation. Ultimately, your contribution will ensure that every meal served meets the highest standards of taste, presentation, and quality.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Ability to read and speak English to understand recipes and communicate with team members.
  • Demonstrated manual dexterity and physical stamina to handle kitchen equipment and stand for extended periods.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Capability to follow instructions from the Head Chef and work collaboratively within a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working under a Head Chef or in a similar supervisory kitchen role.
  • Formal culinary training or certification.
  • Experience in a fast-paced food production environment.
  • Ability to climb stairs regularly as part of kitchen operations.
  • Additional language skills to support diverse kitchen teams and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and portion controls.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and food production planning.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
  • Manage inventory of ingredients and notify supervisors when supplies need replenishing.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate meal preparation and service timing.
  • Perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods and climbing stairs as required.
