About The Position

Southridge Behavioral Hospital is a beautiful and new state-of-the-art facility. As a joint venture with the Trinity Health System and Universal Health Services, we will serve up to 96 adult and geriatric patients across four units when we open in Spring of 2025. We believe that caring, dedicated and valued staff provide exceptional patient care. We are seeking high caliber applicants that will provide innovative and evidence-based care focused on our patient's individual needs, comfort and safety. The Cook is responsible for safely preparing, cooking and presenting meals according to hospital recipe and menu for patients, staff and visitors. Experience in scratch cooking is required.

Requirements

  • High School diploma required.
  • Experience as a cook or cook's aide in an institutional setting is required.
  • Experience with scratch cooking required.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

Responsibilities

  • Safely prepare, cook and present meals according to hospital recipe and menu for patients, staff and visitors.
  • Follow oral and written instructions to operate food service equipment.
  • Complete assigned tasks to provide an efficient, safe, sanitary, attractive and orderly facility.
