About The Position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a full-time, motivated cook to join our team at a private school dining hall in Bedford, NY. This position follows the school schedule, providing a great work-life balance with summers off. As a cook, you will be responsible for preparing meals by following recipes, working with production sheets to ensure consistency and quality, and assisting the Chef Manager and Sous Chef with daily food production. Maintaining a clean and organized work area is essential, as is working collaboratively with the team to create a positive dining experience for students and staff. Requirements

• Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen.
• Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English.
• Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests' expectations.
• Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
• Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
• Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).
