About The Position

A Cook is responsible for the food preparation, execution, and delivery of safely handled food to the customer facing employees for service. The role requires maintaining a friendly, positive attitude and a professional demeanor at all times. The Cook must report for scheduled events on time and fulfill assigned opening and closing duties. They will report to their direct supervisor for prep lists and timelines of the day's tasks, carry out assigned tasks in a timely and safe fashion using correct recipes, and maintain cleanliness in all work areas. The Cook must have extensive knowledge of all menus being offered, including specials, and communicate effectively with Supervisors, Attendants, Runners, Chefs, and Legends Management. Teamwork is essential, as is attention to detail that exceeds expectations. The Cook must also be aware of the kitchen layout and other food and beverage outlets within the venue, and may be reassigned to different locations based on the venue's needs. A flexible schedule is required to meet service demand levels, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent; degree or certificate in culinary arts preferred.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years working in a fast-paced restaurant, caterer, or relevant food service area.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Knowledge of sanitation procedures and ability to maintain cleanliness.
  • Ability to read and retain information (recipes, prep lists, menus).
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
  • Basic English speaking and reading skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a stressful environment.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, lift (at least 30 pounds), and walk at a fast pace.

  • Adapt to changes quickly and work under pressure.
