This recruitment offers a $2,000 Signing Bonus to eligible new employees joining UW Medicine Harborview - Food and Nutrition has an outstanding opportunity for a Cook 2. WORK SCHEDULE Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours per week) Weekends included 11:30am-8:00pm DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Nutrition and Food Services department supports Harborview’s mission by delivering extraordinary experiences with compassionate evidence-based care, unforgettable customer service, and fresh and nutritious food for patients, families, and the greater community. Requirements

Possession of, or eligible for, a food handler's permit
One year of experience as a Food Service Worker; or equivalent education/experience

Responsibilities

Prepares accurate, high-quality food for patients to order following standardized recipes and procedures
Keeps station and cooking equipment clean following all infection control procedures
Begins and ends tray assembly including service ware, condiments, hot and cold items as they are finished by Line and Cold Pantry Cooks
Identifies product needs and requisitions items required to prepare tray assembly
Notifies Sous Chef in advance of expected shortages
Prepares all lunch/dinner orders accurately and efficiently follows food preparation procedures
