WE LOVE OUR WORK. Prepare and display/plate foods as venue requires including banquets, receptions, buffets, a la carte in order to assist in reaching profitability, guest satisfaction, workforce strength, and compliance goals. Report to Sous Chef at start of shift to receive instruction as to daily specials and menu changes. Set up mise en place as per posted instructions. Report any spoilage or shortage to Sous Chef immediately. Prepare recipe per standardized recipes and production sheets. Prepare plated menu items as ordered, per specifications on hot food production line with strict attention to detail, speed, and accuracy. Must have knowledge of soups, sauces, quantity cooking, and proper food sanitation and handling. Perform well under pressure, meeting production schedules and fulfilling requisitions in a timely manner. Maintain work station and all storage areas in accordance with HCPN Standards and PA Department of Health Standards. Assist in other areas of the kitchen as instructed by Sous Chef. Complete assigned shift by properly storing all perishable foods and reporting to Sous Chef for closing details. Maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
