Provides culinary support for MTC Dining under the direction of culinary leadership. Ensures food is prepared and handled in accordance with established quality, safety, and service standards. Note: This is a part-time position (28 hours per week).

Requirements

  • A firm commitment to the Mission of BYU
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in Food Service
  • Physical Exam and Lift Test Required

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary School and at least two years' experience in Food Service

Responsibilities

  • Culinary Operations Prepares food using standardized recipes and established procedures.
  • Maintains proper food handling, storage, and preservation practices, including FIFO and allergen protocols.
  • Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of work areas in compliance with health and MTC Dining standards.
  • Maintains organization of storage areas, ensuring all items are properly labeled, dated, and rotated.
  • Operations Support Prioritizes production tasks under the direction of Cook II or assigned leadership to support efficient kitchen operations and service.
  • Supervision Provides guidance to student employees as assigned, ensuring adherence to MTC Dining standards and procedures.
