You will be responsible for ensuring culinary standards and operational guidelines are met, efficiently preparing food items, and maintaining cleanliness and attractiveness in food presentation. Additionally, you will support safety programs and act as a role model for other employees.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Must have high school diploma or GED.
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and lift for extended periods.
  • Experience of one year or more in a professional cooking setting is preferred.
  • Able to promptly and accurately follow instructions from Supervisor or Manager.
  • Must qualify for licensing by Ohio Lottery Commission.
  • Must be able to use a knife safely.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must tolerate areas with second-hand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and air quality.
  • Must have open availability including all three shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Foster a fun environment.
  • Safeguard company assets.
  • Perform assigned kitchen functions such as broiler, sauté, Asian, prep, and production.
  • Accept direction during day-to-day operations to ensure culinary standards are met.
  • Efficiently prepare food items based on established recipes and plating procedures.
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperature of cooking equipment.
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam various foods.
  • Add seasoning to foods during mixing or cooking.
  • Observe and test foods being cooked to ensure proper preparation.
  • Carve meats, portion food, and garnish serving plates.
  • Wash, peel, cut, and shred vegetables and fruits.
  • Support safety and accident prevention programs.
  • Partner with culinary leadership to ensure coordinated workflow.
  • Act as a role model to other employees.
  • Perform all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
  • Complete county health department class and attain certification.
  • Assist in the operation of other food and beverage venues as needed.
  • Attend all departmental and company training programs or meetings.
  • Compile information and submit reports as needed.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all gaming laws and regulations.
  • Perform all job duties in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Meet department uniform, appearance, and grooming requirements.
