Job Description Omni Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Full-Time Cook 1 | Banquets for the beautiful new Barton Creek Resort & Spa! Ranked among the best resorts in Texas: Top 5 Resorts in the Southwest Conde Nast Traveler and Top 5 Resorts in Texas Travel + Leisure World's Best Awards 2024 We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. As a Banquet Cook, you will play a vital role in our culinary team, preparing and cooking a variety of dishes for our banquet events. You will ensure that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation for all sizes of catered events.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a cook in a high-volume banquet or catering environment.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must provide copy of Food Handlers certificate
  • Must be familiar with batch and quantity cooking.
  • Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push and/or pull up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

  • Culinary school education is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to standard recipes and specifications.
  • Assist in the planning and preparation of banquet menu items.
  • Ensure all food is served in a timely manner and meets our quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the banquet team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
  • Assist with inventory and stock management.
  • Assist with the associate dining room as needed.
  • Work closely with the stewarding team to ensure a clean kitchen.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Chef or Banquet Chefs.
