Performs journey level work installing, performing preventive maintenance on and repairing electrical and mechanical systems at Charlotte Douglas International Airport with an emphasis on conveyor and loading bridge systems. Performs other general building maintenance work incidental to above duties or necessary to keep buildings in working order. Installation, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical and mechanical systems with an emphasis on conveyor and loading bridge systems, including specific tasks such as changing motors, bearings, gearbox reducers, and loading bridge tire repairs. General building maintenance work, including manual labor, incidental to above duties or necessary to keep buildings in working order. Compile lists of equipment, tools and supplies needed. Track and order parts to maintain inventory. Operate cars, vans, lifts, bucket trucks and other heavy equipment. Extensive knowledge of other airport systems including electrical, plumbing, generators, emergency systems, aircraft fueling systems and electrical vehicle chargers. Work in close proximity to aircraft while performing repair and maintenance to passenger boarding bridges and associated ground support equipment. Subject to emergency call back for equipment repairs and inclement weather.
