About The Position

Tetra Tech is seeking a Conveyance Engineer to join our growing team in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you'll support the planning and design of complex water and wastewater conveyance systems, including pipelines, pump stations, and associated infrastructure. Requirements

  • Bachelor's in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
  • Professional Registration (PE) License in GA (or ability to obtain within 6 months) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in water/wastewater infrastructure, whether focused on treatment process or conveyance systems.
  • Project experience and process knowledge of water/wastewater facilities projects with municipal and state is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Support the planning, design, and construction of public water systems to upgrade aging infrastructure and provide sustainable solutions.
  • Water/wastewater infrastructure planning and design to include collection and conveyance systems, distribution and transmission mains, wastewater collection, trunk and force main, pump stations, water and wastewater treatment, civil grading, drainage, as well as rehabilitation of existing infrastructure.
  • Prepare construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, detailed engineering reports and documents.
  • Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects.
  • Evaluate alternatives, resolve technical issues, and interface with other engineering disciplines.
  • Perform design calculations, analysis, and engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications.
  • Resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and complete work as part of a design team.
  • Perform construction support services including reviewing shop drawing submittals, responding to requests for information, and evaluating change order requests.
