Requirements

  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience required.
  • Knowledge of corrugated and finishing manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures all work is performed in a safe, clean, productive environment. Promotes safety and housekeeping by following established safety rules and procedures.
  • Enforcing product safety policies as well as reviewing and approving product safety records.
  • Supervise employees in the daily production of corrugated board, to include training; planning, assigning, and directing work; evaluating employee performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; promoting safety, quality production, and teamwork; resolving conflicts.
  • Lead and motivate employees by setting an example of superior behavior, attitude, and performance to work efficiently and effectively while ensuring a safe work environment and a quality product.
  • Improve and maintain department performance according to set objectives and established goals including safety, quality, waste reduction, housekeeping and productivity.
  • Review machine line-up and overall operations with outgoing supervisor at shift change; ensure compliance on quality checks; coordinate upkeep of machinery with Maintenance team to minimize downtime; and assist in troubleshooting machine problems
  • Effectively communicate operational information in both oral and written format at all levels: crew members, supervisors, plant management, office personnel, customers, and vendors.
  • Actively promote and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and other programs and initiatives within the organization.
