As a Converting Machine Operator, you will be responsible for monitoring the operation of assigned converting machine(s) ensuring that the product adheres to the company standard of safety, quality, and throughput. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our production processes and ensuring that we meet our customer requirements effectively. In this position, you will support, demonstrate, and promote Pregis' core values: integrity, collaboration, customer focus, and innovation. You will adhere to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations, including all personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements. Housekeeping throughout your assigned shift is crucial to ensure an orderly and safe environment. You will be required to perform physical and visual inspections of the product to prevent non-conforming goods and promptly report all quality defects to the appropriate team members. Additionally, you will maintain an appropriate level of production supplies and materials to ensure that the next shift operators incur minimal downtime. Continuous monitoring of machine operation is necessary to ensure accurate product measurements and quality are being maintained. You will be expected to meet or exceed production rates, minimize waste levels, and meet all customer requirements. Accurate data entry into the machine computer for production reporting is also part of your responsibilities. You will acquire knowledge and skills of Set-up Technicians to better assist and troubleshoot when needed, and you will attend meetings and complete safety training as required. Other job-related duties may be assigned as necessary.
