About The Position

LeadSurge is looking for a direct response Conversion Copywriter with a proven track record in the B2C space. We need a writer who lives and breathes high-converting copy and knows how to trigger immediate action across both digital and traditional marketing touchpoints. In this role, you will be developing authentic, persuasive copy for: Digital Channels: High-intent Google Ads (Demand Gen), landing pages, and video Traditional Media: Direct mail and print campaigns We are looking for a specialist who can engineer high-converting copy that triggers measurable response rates and consistent lead generation. Note: This role focuses strictly on conversion-oriented channels; it does not include brand or social media management or copy.

Requirements

  • 5 to7 years as a direct-response or conversion copywriter, preferably within the home improvement or B2C sectors.
  • Deep understanding of the nuances between writing for Google ads versus social media.
  • A track record of using Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) principles to drive specific user actions.
  • Proficiency in AI-assisted writing tools and digital marketing platforms.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, English, Journalism, or a related field.
  • Ability to deliver error-free work under tight deadlines while managing multiple projects.

Responsibilities

  • Develop high-converting copy for Google Ads (Demand Gen), search, video, and landing pages.
  • Create compelling copy for direct mail, newspapers, marriage mail, and inserts.
  • Consistently pitch "breakthrough" ideas, testing new hooks and angles to combat market fatigue.
  • Proactively audit funnels and propose copy experiments to drive real lift without the need for handholding.
  • Leverage AI-driven tools to accelerate research, ideation, and iteration while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Partner with the Creative Director and digital team to ensure all messaging aligns with client KPIs and lead generation goals.
