Oversees facility management, event coordination, staff supervision, marketing, financial operations, and client relations for the Pasadena Convention Center. Approves contracts for leasing convention center, arenas, or other fairground facilities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. This leadership role has a direct impact on the center's reputation, financial viability, and its contribution to community economic development. Coordinate and oversee all event logistics, including setup, execution, and breakdown. Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the planning and execution of events. Create detailed event plans and timelines. Conduct site inspections with clients and vendors. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors. Resolve any issues or conflicts that arise during events. Provide on-site management and support during events. Prepare post-event reports and conduct evaluations to assess event success. Negotiate contracts with vendors and service providers. Market and promote events to attract attendees and participants. Acts as liaison between the city and the Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo, the Strawberry Festival/San Jacinto Day Foundation, Industry Partners, and other major users of the facilities. Must have and maintain, without interruption, all necessary licenses, certifications, clearances, and/or job requirements. Works the assigned schedule and complies with the city's timekeeping and attendance policy; however, flexible work hours may be required to accommodate or support evening and weekend events. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
