About The Position
The Convenience Store Sales Associate plays a crucial role in representing and promoting the store's operations in a positive and efficient manner. This position is essential for ensuring customer confidence and satisfaction while maintaining the store's cleanliness and organization. The Sales Associate is responsible for executing daily tasks as outlined in the daily checklist, which includes various cleaning and stocking duties. Reporting directly to the leader on duty, the Sales Associate must embody a friendly and approachable demeanor to enhance the customer experience. Key responsibilities include completing daily cleaning checklists that cover all areas of the store, including restrooms, sales floors, coolers, counters, and equipment such as drink machines and coffee pots. The Sales Associate must ensure a clean and safe environment for both customers and fellow associates. Additionally, the role involves unpacking and stocking products in the cooler and on the sales floor, greeting customers as they enter the store, and maintaining stock and inventory using available tools and resources. The Sales Associate is also tasked with following food preparation methods and portion sizes to ensure that food is presented in an acceptable manner. Suggestive selling of beverages or food items is encouraged to enhance customer satisfaction and sales. Completing sales transactions quickly and accurately is a critical aspect of the role, along with any special tasks assigned by the management team. This position requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
